Are British Women Really the Worst . . .
British women have once again topped the polls for whole host negative things but what about British men ?
I’m continually hearing how badly British Ladies are perceived abroad but other than football hooliganism and binge drinking I never hear the men mentioned - why ?
Anyway there’s more to besides this in this weeks Winners & Losers
Let’s get straight into what’s Got My Got and Tickled My Fancy
The English Roses
Spooky Meetings in Churchyards
You don’t expect to see anybody in Great Coates graveyard at 7pm let alone somebody you’ve not met before who walk round the corner of a church and says “hello Rod” !
A nice surprise and an interesting conversation
My Car
All bright, shiny and ship shape - all it needs to do now is pass an MOT
Family
I’m blessed twice over with my family. Firstly it only really extends to 3 other people and secondly, we all get on !
I count my blessings when I hear how others live and carry on - here’s to small families
The Ladettes & Chavs
God
A big name to make the list but he’s had a bad week - Stephen Hawking has accused him of not creating the universe.
It’s been a momentous week for shock scientific revelations then
Wayne Rooney
Another half-witted footballist, cheats on his wife with a hooker and is then surprised when it gets into the papers - can anybody explain these things ?
Waiting in for Parcels
It’s torture and actually stops me buying things in all but the most desperate of cases
Late edit: after a day waiting nothing came - Grrrrrrrrr
British Women
In an international poll British Women were voted #1 for the following:
Ugliest ~ Least Lady-like ~ Fattest ~ Worst Dressed ~ Most Drunken and it goes on . . .
Is this what the world thinks of the women of Britain - I covered part of this stereotype before here and here but I would like you to read the following
I thought this was hugely interesting and telling please do Give this a Read

The Sun Setting Over the Kingdom of Wybers Wood
I’m always interested to hear from anybody on any of the above or anything of a random nature
All the best

Rod,
Don’t be hard on Rooney, thankfully the England coach is going to asess his mental state before tomorrow night’s game. I hope he’s alright because he played so well in the World Cup..oh, sorry..that was a German nobody had ever heard of. 100k a week is small consolation you know. When will the public wise up to these morons?
Nice pic mate…

And all this time we thought Rooney was not scoring. When all along……………………….!
“Ugliest ~ Least Lady-like ~ Fattest ~ Worst Dressed ~ Most Drunken” - was this poll done in Hull?
Stephen Hawking has accused God of not creating the universe!!! Shock Horror!!!!!!! I wonder who did then? Simon Cowell? Lets face it, if nobody else had laid claim to the universe, and God came along, minding his own business, in all his ethereal greatness, and thought “hang on….this looks interesting. Everything is expanding outwards like a big explosion….WOW!….I’m having some of this!!!”

LB,
it won’t take long to assess his mental state !
How can anybody in his position think they would get away with such antics ?
Also if you want to live like that why on earth get married !
Staggering - it’ll cost him millions this !

HH,
I walk through the centre of Grimsby doesn’t leave us much room to throw stones at the Hully Gully’s !
That said the issue is surely more acute there
I think God gets the Creaing of the Earth credit personally - he made an early claim so even if it turns out he was simply being opportunistic it’s a bit like squatters rights - after long enough it’s yours
Cheers

It might not leave us much room to throw stones at the Hully Gully’s, but it leaves us just enough room to throw stones at them. Something that should be made into a South Bank sport!!

Rod,
“I walk through the centre of Grimsby doesn’t leave us much room to throw stones at the Hully Gully’s !
That said the issue is surely more acute there” ……How do you know? Have you been making furtive excursions into the unknown over the bridge?
What’s more, that’s a rather 50’s expression for a youngster like you to be using; you can’t remember the recording and the consequent dance craze I’m sure.
What’s all this “He” in relation to the alledged God phenomenon? If it exist/s/ed, it would presumably be gender neutral as if it had intact wedding tackle, which is the is the definitive essence of maleness, to what purpose would it be put???
I’m with the particle physicists, and it didn’t take Hawking to convince me.

Neville

Do you know where I could find a compendium of Templar related artifacts - I’d like to put together a museum display related to them. Thanks,

Ah but remember Nevillion, who was Jesus’ real father?!?!?!?!?!? It wasnt Joseph, thats for sure. Jeremy Kyle and the DNA tests sorted that one out. God must be a ‘he’ to be the ‘Father’. Remember The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, or as i remember them, The Dad, the Lad and the Spook!!!

Neville,
I have in fact been to Hull a few times, it’s not something I’ve done recently as it’s best not to push ones luck !
There’ sno gender issue with the big man - he’s old with a long white beard and lives in a cloud - I’ve seen the pictures - besides there’s no way God could be a chick
Double besides, don’t all major religions treat women as inferior to men ?
Surely if the CEO was female that’d be stamped out

Don,
thanks for the comment and welcome to the site - I’m afraid I don’t know of such a thing - had I seen or heard of one I’d certainly have bought it

Neville,
You could take a lifetime looking for the definitive essence …. but let me tell you it’s Chanel
Of course frankincense and myrrh are all very well and I like them both and lord knows (by that I mean Daniel Craig) I’ve tried mixing my own but they just smell like fruit bowls or vile cold cures.

Cid,
“I’ve tried mixing my own”…reminds me of when we were children; we used to put loads of rose petals and lavender in water and probably other ingredients too - not too bad when first mixed but after a day or two when wild yeasts and decay had done their bit it was a rather scanky brown mess.
On a serious note, I have grown my own angelica and crystallized it - worked OK but rather mild. I suppose the comercial stuff is dried more first to concentrate the essences. Another ‘homebrew’ is dandelion coffee; that worked well and is a unique flavour. Similar to chicory, but different. My friends thought I was mad when I sowed a neat row of dandlions on purpose!

Neville
P.S. I have grown woad too

Neville,
Crystallized angelica….. now you’re talking. I too grow a mass of the stuff, like a forest it is and increasing every year. My own concoctions vary but most are quite a pronounced angelica flavour and it has to be said, an acquired taste. Personally I love it and will happily eat small pieces on their own but it’s also good in fruit cake mixes etc and I have occasionally used the syrup as a cordial to dilute.
The Reliant Robin episode is all but forgotten Neville in light of your having grown woad…. there are cart loads of points there. I must include you in our Japanese shibori tie dye club
Cid
p.s. have you ever ventured into Little Brother’s site? You should take a look, we’re always waffling on about herbs and all things culinary…… photography etc, it’s another fabulous site from the Collins stable.

Cid,
“The Reliant Robin episode is all but forgotten”…..but you mustn’t forget! We are a proud breed we bikers-on-stabilisers. I even have the underpants
Nobody told me about LB’s site; haven’t seen it advertised or promoted on here…..do tell! Mind you, you don’t think King Rod will give me licence to wander do you? I might never return, but then that might please some…

Neville,
LB’s name is highlighted in purple as you can see above… just click on that and hey presto a world of culinary deliciousness will unfold and fabulous photography too.
Since you are a man of many parts, you should be able to cope with both sites …. and taken together Neville, you will experience a sort of complete Collins enlightenment

Jeez Cid,
I thought you, or I were colour blind as I couldn’t see purple for the life of me! Then it dawned on me; you must be using IE whereas I use Moz. Found it now - thanks.
“complete Collins enlightenment” I suppose you might call it a Collins Encyclopaedia?
Multi-sitedly yours,
Neville

Amiguru/Cid,
My brother and I wished to leave a legacy for the world to remember us by…think ex American Presidents and their musuems and study centres. Something which showcased our brilliant minds and the indelible mark (stain) we leave upon the global community.
Well that was the idea and our legacy will show how we buggered it up
