Amy Portess Miss Grimsby Finalist 2009
Amy Portess, who has been kind enough to comment on the site, has made the finals of the Miss Grimsby Competition.
She also kindly took the time out to answer our call for photographs - so as a thank you - her own special page !
Amy is, I believe, 21 years of age and comes from Scartho - just down the road from me !
No wonder she’s entered the Grimsby Telegraph competition - to win the car and get away 
This is the second year in a row that Amy has entered and is doing very well in the public vote
The results for will be announced tomorrow for the competition to find out who will represent the town in the Miss England Competition.
She has been not only a good sport in wishing all the other girls well but a great supporter of the event itself and as such deserves all possible luck in both versions of the competition - we certainly wish her all the very best

Hi Rod,
The final is getting closer! 2 weeks on saturday!! All the girls have been choses their dresses from flirty frox, got mine on sunday and there was LOADS to chose from! obv cant say what mine is like. Off to the telegraph tomorrow to find out what happens so might be able to give you a bit of an insight into how it all works. The actual show starts at 6, but we have to be there at 12 so its gna be a long day for the twelve of us!

We have been given some questions, pretty original ones, which obviously i wont revel on here and spoil the suprise, but there not ur usual questions like whats ur favourate colour!
Theres also a new finalist, called Sarah Lowe, sadly one of the girls (aimee) isn’t v well so cant do it! But hopefully she will apply again next year!
We all get to go and chose our outfits from house of frasier next week aswel.
And Apparently the crown is gorgeous!!!
