Am I Being Lied to About Global Warming ?
Am I being deliberately lied to and misled by issues on Global Warming ?
I seem to keep reading that previously stated ‘facts’ turn out to be bunk much like Al Gore’s film !
A big turning point in Global Warming was a United Nations report, not only because it was dramatic but mainly because it wasn’t from an ‘eco group’ so could not be dismissed as biased.
The headline was that the Himalayan glaciers will melt by 2035
The effect of this would be devastating - clearly very worrying
However, it subsequently turns out that this was not researched by the UN !

They just based it on an article in a little known science magazine !
Furthermore the original author said the article was only speculation and had no scientific basis !
Even worse his ‘research’ for the article was a 5 minute phone call to another scientist !
I mean really, it would be funny were it not so important. How many millions have been spent on the back of this one thing alone ?
Secondly how much ammunition does it give to those who pour scorn on the Global Warming theory ?
If the general public are to be convinced of this then we need to be presented with proper scientific proof that it is an issue and not just some natural weather cycle the earth has always gone through for many millions of years (or 10,000 years if you’re a Christian)
I personally think a lot of people are milking this for research grants and facilities etc, a lot of vested interests are really making their teeth meet.
If this is a real issue then it’s clearly of huge importance - given that, it needs taking seriously and unless governments clean their acts up and start:
Telling the truth - making clear fact from conjecture - stopping fact finding junkets to the Caribbean - huge research grants to political allies
and the like then they’ll not carry the confidence of the general public and with their cooperation you’ll never make any kind of impact.

PPS: it was -4 that day, bloody freezing - no sign of Global Warming that day !

I am sure that nobody really knows about Global Warming and who would we believe anyway?
Just do what a friend of mine does;
if its cold, put a coat on, if its warm, dont

It simply fosters the attitude that we may as well not bother and that’s the clanger they’re dropping.
Personally if it warms up in my lifetime that’ll do nicely

Global warming is calculated globally, which as we all know has nothing to do with the noble Shire of Lincs. One must look at our rural biosphere as a separate entity and cling on to our Ushankas to the bitter end

Yes, we are being deliberately lied to in order to introduce the global taxation policies.
Everyone follows the media hype and as per government rhetoric via their funding of the scientific norm.

Billions to despots and their self-made hell-holes, never ending, received by unelected UN officials, and doled out to unelected corrupt regimes. Ye gods!
No doubt the rent-seekers, racketeers, taxers, and financial traders will not be giving up easily. But at least their fraudulent foundations are making them very wobbly.
Must go - all those old tractor tyres to burn - hold on, I’ll save them to Earth Hour - just look for the bright spot on the satellite weather image of southern South Australia…

thnaks for that, much appreciated. The more I look at this the more I find that’s wrong.
I look for information without bias yet find nothing that backs these claims up, much to the contrary in fact !
Once again it all seems to come down to money and how those in power can get their hands on it and control it
And they wonder why people lose faith and interest in them !

its only there to get you to read the body of the article and…
i guess it worked.
Funny how many anti-global warming threads use such things as well my area is colder this year than last to try to say what’s going on over the whole world and over extended periods of time.
Because its night right now do i think the sun has gone out?
P.S i am not saying you are anti-global warming just the blog has that slant

thanks for the comment and welcome to the site, hope you’ll return.
There is an interesting juxtaposition to ‘my classic mistake’ Demo, perhaps you are reading headlines and believing them ?
I certainly don’t say global warming doesn’t exist but I believe the argument is in danger of being lost because of money and vested interests.
You mention me missing the point of the article but in this case I did not - those people involved in the research were lying the did conceal or alter figures - they’ve admitted ‘their mistakes’ themselves
There are still a lot of serious scientists out there who say the evidence is flawed and it’s nothing like as bad as is being suggested. I don’t know which scientists are right and which are wrong but I’m sensible enough to listen to both sides and make my own mind up.
