Actors Who Gain Weight for a Part
With the whole of the western world wanting to be thinner and an ever greater desire to emulate, actors, actresses and celebrities in having the perfect body there is some comfort for those struggling
You too could have a body like Matt Damon

Jason Bourne with no shirt on !
Yes it really is the star of the Bourne movies but no he hasn’t let himself go it’s for a part.
It would be very interesting to know just how long it will take him to get back into shape after he’s finished filming and exactly how he’s going to do it. He is notoriously health conscious and very fit so it must be something of a nightmare for him doing something like this.
At least it is only fat he has had to put on to turn himself from this picture below to the above

Complete with 6 Pack
Rene Zellweger causes a storm every time she does the weight gain for Bridget Jones and subsequently there is a tabloid frenzy as she loses the weight incredibly quickly.
Robert Deniro is another actor famous for his bodily commitment to a part only he often does it the hard way, i.e. muscle not fat.
In Raging Bull for example he put 60 pounds on to play the boxer Jake La Motta and if you saw him in Cape Fear he was in incredible shape especially given his age at the time.
I suppose it shows what is actually possible given the right frame of mind and motivation, what is interesting though is that most tend not to keep it up. If they get really fit most seem to lapse after the part and those that pile on the pounds tend to shed it quickly.
Personally speaking, when you think of the work that goes into getting yourself really fit you’d think they’d want to retain the benefits of their hard work.
Are there any other notable actors or actresses that I’ve missed who have transformed their bodies drastically, other than our site favourite Daniel Craig of course ?
Regards
Rod

Christian Bale…
If anyone have see his movie, “The Machinist”, it was made before “Batman Begins”.
If Matt Damon was seen complete with his packs, then you can see Bale’s ribs in “The Machinist”
For “Batman Begins”…I think i don’t have too say it. You can see it yourself in its sequel, The Dark Knight at 13 July 2008….
