ABEBooks in GQ Magazine

ABEbooks got some much needed publicity in the May 2006 issue of the men’s style magazine GQ.
Not sure what some of the booksellers would make of parts of it but it is certainly a bonus and something ABE should be actively trying to cultivate elsewhere.
So hats off to GQ magazine, scanned picture and the article in text below.

There’s a book site more amazing than Amazon and eBetter than ebay? Indeed there is. It’s called abebooks, and though it’s technically incorrect to vouch that you can buy any book in the world from it, you can probably buy any book in the world from it. Abebooks agglomerates all the booksellers that are too small, too esoteric or too not bothered to pay for a website of their own into one search-engine style page. It highlights cheap new books as well as prized collector’s editions and battered read-’em-onces: a virtual, infinite charity bookshop that has a Borders in one corner and Bloomsbury auctions in the other.
